A discussion panel devoted to methods of working with electronics, combining perspectives of composers, performers and sound directors.
The starting point will be the processes accompanying the realization of Pierre Boulez’s Dialogue de l’ombre double. The discussion will address strategies for working with digital tools, the challenges that electronic music poses for artists engaged in the processes of creation, performance and recording of a work, and standards of documentation. Using Marcin Łopacki’s Monosymfonia op. 101 as an example, we will reflect on ways in which artificial intelligence is ready to co-shape and support processes in contemporary music.
The project is co-financed from the resources of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Ensemblage Foundation conducts artistic, educational and publishing activities in the field of contemporary music. It implements projects combining performance and composition with exploration of new technologies, including recordings, premieres of works and documentary and popularization activities. In recent years it has realized, among others, phonographic productions featuring outstanding musicians, an international conducting competition for wind orchestras and operatic projects. The Foundation also develops a research and educational component, supporting the exchange of knowledge and experiences within artist communities.
