    About the event

Legend of Polish jazz Andrzej Jagodziński will be the star of the next edition of the “Stars with the Sinfonietta” series. The outstanding pianist and improviser will perform at the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Kraków with his band: Adam Cegielski – double bass and Czesław Bartkowski – drums. Guest vocalist Agnieszka Wilczyńska will also appear on stage.

The artists, together with Sinfonietta Cracovia, will join forces in a project that originally weaves together traditions of folk, classical and jazz music, revealing their common roots. The “Polish Music” project constitutes the next stage of stylistic explorations by the Andrzej Jagodziński Trio: material derived from folk music and jazz adopts expanded, classical forms while preserving improvisation as an essential element of the narrative.

The Sinfonietta Cracovia orchestra will be conducted by maestro Przemysław Zych.
