(...) Warsaw feels rebellious: through the depths of the night You can hear the dry thunder of shots, the pounding of horses, The rumble of drums sounding the alarm, the mournful toll of bells, The sharp sound of trumpets from squadrons torn from the barracks, Gunfire, like the noise of a hailstorm, The incomprehensible murmur of a distant crowd And thunder that rings more in the heart than in the ear: - Revolution! To arms! To arms! To arms! 🎉 On the occasion of the 195th anniversary of the outbreak of the November Uprising, I invite you to a walk dedicated to the events of the "November Night." 📅 We meet on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument on Krakowskie Przedmieście. The walk is planned for about 90 minutes. During the walk, we will learn: - Why did the November Uprising break out? - Where did the commander-in-chief live? - What happened at the Governor's Palace? - Where did the "loyalists" die? - What did the captured Polish cannons contribute to? - Where did the dictator of the November Uprising live? - Where was the weaponry distributed to Varsovians? - Who was the "man of the theater" and what was he willing to do? - Who organized resistance against the insurgents at Bankowy Square? - What happened in the area of the Krasiński Garden? - and much more... 💸 There is no fee for participating in the walk, but if you feel the guide deserves a tip (...) The walk will be led by a city guide from Warszawski Zaułek. You are warmly invited and see you there.
