About the event

Forgotten Voices. Holocaust Memories Through the Perspective of Minorities — International Conference (vol. 1)



The CEMORY project team at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Centre for Comparative Studies of Civilisations) invites participants to join the Forgotten Voices international conference.



The conference is organised under the auspices of the Central European Memory of the Holocaust in a Multicultural and Multidimensional Perspective (CEMORY) project, funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV).



When and where:



  • In situ at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków on 20–21 March 2026.


Call for Papers:



  • The Call for Papers for thematic panels is now open.
  • Deadline for submission: 30 September 2025.

Registration:



  • Participation in the "Forgotten Voices" Conference, vol. 1 is free of charge.
  • All participants must register to participate.

  • Please consider your in-person availability for Kraków on 20–21 March 2026 before submitting a proposal; if circumstances prevent in-person attendance, consider joining the virtual "Forgotten Voices" Conference, vol. 2.


Format and conduct:



  • Q&A and discussion sessions will be held after each panel; meaningful interaction is encouraged.
  • The conference promotes a respectful discussion culture and safe spaces; aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • The event will be designed to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and specific needs.
