A musical story about the beginnings of Polish jazz in the interwar period.
Performers:
Musical arrangements: Tomasz Bielski
Ewa Makomaska – an actress of the Polish Theatre in Warsaw, will recall the 1920s and the creators who brought rhythms and sounds reigning across the ocean, as well as in Paris and Berlin, to Polish soil. Together with excellent musicians, the actress will tell how jazz arrived in Poland thanks to artists traveling across Europe and discovering hot tangos and foxtrotts.
It will be a sentimental but also very energetic and stylish journey through time. Among others, compositions by Artur Gold, Szymon Kataszek, Henryk Wars and Bronisław Kaper will be performed, with outstanding lyrics by Marian Hemar, Andrzej Włast, Emanuel Schlechter and Konrad Tom.
