We invite you to a recurring evening during which we will talk, test, wonder, puzzle over what we don’t know and what we do know. Together. Literally.
📅 NEXT MEETING: JANUARY 20!
“Since the beginning of my schooling I mostly knew that I didn’t know something — and I’m still ashamed to ask. At school it wasn’t easy to admit ignorance, which was somehow cooler than knowledge.
Years later I have no idea about most things. I don’t know how the world works. Why do we have water from the tap and how do space probes send data to Earth? How does someone know that dinosaurs had exactly those feathers? Who will finally explain to me exactly how tides work? How was the Large Hadron Collider invented? Why do we eat mushroom soup on Christmas Eve? How do they build the metro? What is climate and what is weather? Why does a dog know I’m coming home when I’m still far away? When will some supervolcano erupt? Why is one religion called a cult and another not? Why doesn’t Poland have its own sasquatch? How do we communicate when we all see things differently? How does all of this work?
An evening of knowledge and fun like this is the fulfillment of my dreams. We will combine ignorance with knowledge, ask questions to expert people, but we will also learn what experts — for example in quantum physics — don’t know and what I can tell them.”
Evenings at Bar Studio, comfortably, with snacks and interesting soft drinks. With different talk-show segments, guests, visuals, and maybe even (attention!) video material.
