Join us for "Summer Historical Walks" around Bielany. The Bielany III-Magiera estate, built in the first half of the 1960s and named after the patron of its main internal street, is another Bielany project by the married couple Maria and Kazimierz Piechotka. One of the buildings here even received the title of Mister Warsaw in 1965. The estate was built on an empty, sandy space. We will explore the architects' ideas for developing this wasteland (what were the ten "nests"?) and the realities of the era in which they worked. 📅 Join us on September 14 at 11:00 AM. Meeting point: the intersection of Romaszewskiego and Gąbińska. The walk, which will last about 1.5 hours, will be led by Mateusz Napieralski, a licensed Warsaw guide and promoter of the district's history through "Nasze Bielany." - Organizers: - Bielany District Office - Bielany Cultural Center - Public Library for the Bielany District
