In our opinion, the compulsive urge to accumulate objects is a symptom of collective trauma resulting from the paradoxes of modernity. People who succumb to the mania of collecting transform the intimate space of their home into a field of expression for the capitalist compulsion of overproduction. This phenomenon, embedded in contemporary consumer culture, has been analyzed for decades by philosophers and artists, starting with Duchamp's ready-made works or contemporary installations by Robert Kuśmirowski. The exhibition aims to capture the complex specificity of the hoarding phenomenon in relation to contemporary culture, philosophy, art, as well as the depths of human psychology and trauma. In various departments, works will be presented by: Gallery: - Antoni Lisowski - Jan Cieślak - Tobiasz Kenio - Wacław Bodnar - Natalia Borczi - Jan Mioduszewski - Mikołaj Starowieyski - Piotr Mlącki - Ira Artsiukevich - Joanna Sarnecka - Ryszard "Rysia" Czubak - Gustaw Maj - Yukari Nakamichi - Wojciech Gilewicz - Kamila Śladowska - Magdalena Tryba - Tymek Bryndal - Jędrek Owsiński - Kasia Rysiak - Tomek Motyka - Michał Żabko-Potopowicz - Malwina Nahorny Photo: - Andrea Beggio - Federico Caponi - Kasia Rysiak Oficyna Peryferie: - Michał Chojecki - Tomek Motyka Sito: - Natalia Łajszczak - Agnieszka Pasierska - Aneta Zdziech - Dorota Maron - Malwina Nahorny - Tomasz Motyka - Paweł Dobrowolski - Michał Żabko-Potopowicz - Kaja Kubicka - Aneta Zdziech Research work: - Kora Tea Kowalska The event is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
