The Work of Zbigniew Makowski” Zbigniew Makowski composed his works by combining words and images with symbolic meanings, creating magical spaces that invite you into his world. Their inclusive nature became the starting point for the concept of the exhibition, which is equally accessible to blind and visually impaired individuals. The exhibition features not only Makowski's works but also tactile graphics of his pieces, props from the artist's studio, and Lidia Chmielewska's bas-reliefs used for teaching perspective. The exhibition will run until November 15, 2025. 🎵 In reference to Lidia Chmielewska's musical passion, who often played the piano in the studio, the opening will feature musical improvisations and Bach's Concerto no. 1 in F Major arranged by: - Maria Sławek - violin - Marcin Zdunik - cello 📅 September 26 - 5:00 PM Discussion panel “Accessibility of Visual Arts for People with Special Needs” A meeting dedicated to new technological possibilities and educational solutions for including visually impaired individuals in visual culture, as well as best practices in this area from Polish and international cultural institutions. For over twenty years, he has been popularizing knowledge about art and museum education. He has collaborated with many cultural and educational institutions, including the National Museum in Warsaw, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, and the Mazovian Institute of Culture. In 2007, he received the “Meritorious for Polish Culture” badge.
