We warmly invite you to a meeting with Adam Zadworny. We will talk about his book „Heweliusz. The Mystery of the Baltic Disaster” — a moving reportage about one of the most dramatic maritime disasters in the Baltic.
Adam Zadworny (born 1967) – journalist and reporter, associated with “Gazeta Wyborcza” since 1990, earlier a collaborator of underground publications. Co-author of the alternative guide “Do it in Szczecin”.
His reportages have been included in the collections “From the Archive Sz. Following extraordinary Szczecin stories of the 20th century”, “Sea and Land. An Anthology of Reportages from Pomerania” and in three volumes from the series All the Colours of the PRL.
Winner of several journalistic and literary awards, including the Polish-German Tadeusz Mazowiecki Journalism Prize for the historical reportage “Wild West – Usedom 1945”. For the book “Heweliusz. The Mystery of the Baltic Disaster” he received the Crystal Card of Polish Reportage for best book of 2024, the “Jantar” Literary Award in a readers’ poll and the Grand Press award in the Reporter Book of the Year category.
