Małgorzata Mielech’s choreographic self‑portrait will attempt to capture a path — not as a summary, but as a living process of constant becoming. From the first solo Anonymous to subsequent installments of her work, in which the anonymous heroine of her own story gradually plays ever bolder roles. From fragile and searching she transforms into a person aware of her weaknesses and strengths ‒ an embodiment of freedom and power. The artist places the body at the center ‒ an archive of experiences, emotions and decisions. It carries memories of wonder, insatiability, rebellion, tenderness and courage. Most important, however, remains what has constituted Małgorzata Mielech’s work from the beginning: truth, authenticity, the strength that comes from sensitivity and trust in intuition as an inner guide. Inspirations from feminine mythologies, nature and the heroine archetype intertwine here with personal experience. The self‑portrait will take an open form – a space where past, present and imagined future can meet on stage. It will be an attempt to capture the process of transformation ‒ from insatiability and pure expression to a conscious life mission in harmony with oneself.

Małgorzata Mielech – choreographer, performer, Gaga teacher, dance pedagogue and movement director. She creates original solo performances and directs choreography for dance theatres. She has presented performances and led workshops in Europe, Asia and Australia. She has collaborated with distinguished creators, including Ohad Naharin, Yossi Berg and the duo Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben. She is, among others, a multiple recipient of scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a laureate of the Young Art Medal in the Dance category and the winner of the “Most Abstract Idea” award at the Nuremberg festival. She combines creative activity with intensive pedagogical work, building a bridge between stage practice and the educational process. Her projects are characterised by an experimental, original movement language in which the body becomes a space for investigating intuition, emotions and transformation. Małgorzata Mielech’s work focuses on the process of transformation, transcending internal boundaries and exploring the body as a source of knowledge and artistic decisions.
