    O wydarzeniu

Gutek Film is a company that brings films by directors such as Jim Jarmusch, Terry Gilliam, Pedro Almodóvar and Mike Mills to Polish audiences (including viewers of Warsaw’s Kino Muranów).

We are pleased to invite you to a series of film screenings from the Gutek Film repertoire. The common — although loosely treated — denominator of all screenings is the experience of psychological crisis.

Join us for a screening with delicious coffee. Free entry. The event is completely FREE!

    ☕
Support factors: we invite you to the screening with aromatic coffee, tea and dessert. Every purchase in our small café (coffee, tea, cake or dessert of the day) supports Apteka Sztuki and helps us organize future cultural events.

    💰
Coffee prices: 8–9 PLN, teas: 8 PLN. Cakes and dessert of the day — price according to the café menu.

Schedule of the series (description excerpts by Gutek Film):

    • 📅 18.02. at 18:00 — al. Wyzwolenia 3/5 — "C'mon C'mon", dir. Mike Mills — 110 min.
Joaquin Phoenix as a New York single, a warm journalist who travels across America with a microphone, asking children and young people about their lives, dreams and plans. Along the way he visits his sister in Los Angeles, who now needs his help.
    • 📅 25.02. at 18:00 — al. Wyzwolenia 3/5 — "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote", dir. Terry Gilliam — 132 min.
After 25 years of filmic windmill battles, Gilliam’s mad comedy: a bored commercial director (Adam Driver) arrives in a Spanish village where one resident (Jonathan Pryce) is convinced he is Don Quixote — thus begins a series of crazy adventures.
    • 📅 04.03. at 18:00 — al. Wyzwolenia 3/5 — "Perfect Days", dir. Wim Wenders — 123 min.
A meditation on the simplicity of life: the story of Japanese everyman Hirayama (Kôji Yakusho), whose daily rituals create a poetry of ordinariness.
    • 📅 11.03. at 18:00 — al. Wyzwolenia 3/5 — "Arab Blues", dir. Manele Labidi — 88 min.
Selma — an independent psychoanalyst who, in her favorite jeans and with a cigarette in her mouth, confronts conservative reality, helping patients to grant themselves the right to depression, anxiety and to be themselves.
