On this occasion I invite you to a special series of walks on the right bank of the Vistula.
Although when Praga was granted town rights the land of today's Skaryszewski Park still belonged to the village of Kamion, for more than 100 years it has been inseparably connected with right-bank Warsaw. Across from the Kamionkowskie Pond, in 1931 Emil Wedel built one of the most modern factories in the capital at the time — the Wedel chocolate factory.
On 1 February 2026 the 20th edition of the Wedel Run will take place in the park, and a week later I will take you on a winter walk through Skaryszewski Park. There will be park curiosities, but above all the history of three generations of the Wedel family. After all, who doesn’t love Czekolada Jedyna, Torcik Wedlowski, Mieszanka Wedlowska or Ptasie Mleczko?
The walk will begin where the first Wedel chocolate vending machine in Poland stood. We will finish at the Wedel Factory.
