Join us for the next meeting of our club 🙂 - At 6:45 PM, we start with “networking” - we ask each other how we’re doing, build relationships, and get ready to kick off the “main” meeting at 7:00 PM with even more enthusiasm. - The most important part of the first section is the prepared speeches, usually two or three, lasting a few minutes each. - After a short break (read: lots of chatting about everything important and less important), it’s time for the impromptu speech contest, which provides us with a great dose of humor. - In the final part, we listen to evaluations: the content of the speeches, fluency, grammatical correctness, timing, and the quality of feedback. A FEW WORDS ABOUT WHO WE ARE (TOASTMASTERS) Toastmasters is an open non-profit organization that trains speakers and leaders. It was founded in America almost a hundred years ago. We are one of over 15,000 clubs worldwide, located in more than 130 countries.
