Playing with Space. Classical Music for Everyone / Sinfonia Varsovia Wind Quintet

About the event

Is it possible to dance to classical music? Can a whole orchestra fit into the parts of five wind instruments? What are woodwind instruments? Is classical music really as difficult as people say? What is it actually about? And why listen to it? Do you want to know the answers, but aren't sure if classical music is for you? Come and find out! Musicians from Sinfonia Varsovia will visit the "Świt" Cultural Center in Targówek to see how they play there – and how you listen to it! After the concert, where the wind quintet will perform a selection of dances, there will be a discussion with the audience and performers, led by Marcin Bogucki – a researcher of classical music and opera, as well as a tireless popularizer of these genres. The event will be an opportunity to meet and talk about listening to music called "serious." It will also be a chance to ask what is needed to comfortably participate in a classical music concert. Do the needs of people with disabilities differ in this respect from those of other audience members?
