Concert: „Olive Garden” — Maciej Miecznikowski

Lent is a time for reflection on the abandonment, suffering and death of Jesus Christ. For Catholics it is a moment to pause and look at family, married and professional life from a spiritual perspective. Biblical scenes contained in passion songs can be helpful.

The concert title refers to the artist’s album of the same name, which includes, among others, Bułat Okudżawa’s “Prayer” “Chrystusie” set to poems by Julian Tuwim. The artist invites the audience to join in performing songs:

  • „Ogrodzie oliwny”
  • „Ludu mój ludu”
  • „Jezu Chryste Panie miły”
  • „Krzyżu Chrystusa”
  • „Golgoto”

“After forty days the light of the Great Night comes. The light that everyone sooner or later will experience, because after all we will all once meet God,” says Maciej Miecznikowski.
