    About the event

This summer, the Puszka Foundation joined forces with Komuna Warszawa Theatre to create a better nature-cultural neighborhood in front of this social cultural institution. We renewed and supplemented the plantings in front of the building, removed paving slabs, and created blooming flower beds in their place. Under Tim Etchells' iconic neon sign, we planted blooming clusters of daylilies. Thanks to the involvement of Warsaw gardeners, we also created a social installation from herbs and seedlings donated by them! 🌱 On a Sunday morning in September, we want to meet with you during workshops that will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the plants that have appeared in the Theatre's garden. Under the guidance of artist Paulina Mirowska, we will create plant talismans inspired by protective spider motifs present in folk practices. 🌿 You can bring dried plants collected from your own garden or a place you care for! Feel free to come without them as well – we will provide materials, an informal atmosphere, herbal infusions, and homemade pastries. If you have special needs, let us know at [email protected]. We want to make the workshop as accessible as possible for you. The event is part of the project "Respite in the Center." In the green area around the former schools at Emilii Plater 29-31, where the Pomological Garden operated until 1944, we are creating a respite garden that will allow residents of the district and visitors to spend warm months in a local, friendly, and green shared space. - Curatorial and design team: Magdalena Krzosek, Aleksandra Litorowicz, Tomasz Świetlik - Organizer: Puszka Foundation - Partners: Komuna Warszawa Theatre, Mikroklimaty Studio, Miastozdziczenie - Event under the patronage of the Mayor of Śródmieście District, Warsaw - Media patrons: NN6T, Radio Kapitał The project is co-financed by the City of Warsaw.
