About the event
The concert title refers to the well-known essay by Jolanta Brach-Czaina from the volume “Szczeliny istnienia”.
A March evening is a sonic search for the extraordinary in the completely ordinary. It unfolds between an archive of recordings that form a lexicon of everyday life across two continents and three seas and sounds generated in real time using electroacoustically amplified surfaces and edges. The human voice busies itself among the timbres of several languages. None of them is native, but they all have a richness of vowels that allows the voice to settle in. The alphabet provides the scaffolding for the “harmony of whispers” taken from the collection of the Danish poet Inger Christensen.
