Ateneum Theatre Warsaw premiere of the play by Gdańsk playwright Anna Wakulik at the Ateneum Theatre. A brilliant and subversive story about family secrets that come to light at the least expected moment – after the grandfather's death. The will he left behind disrupts the existing order and forces four relatives to confront questions about identity, inheritance, and... blood type. Because supposedly we all have the same – yet someone once decided that blue blood means more than that flowing in the veins of an ordinary peasant woman. In today's democracy, do we really all have equal chances? Or perhaps we need to dig deeper – into the roots of Polish identity and history, which still influence our daily lives?
