    About the event

We invite you to a free two-day training on the conscious and responsible use of climate narratives in educational activities. Let's meet with educators (formal, non-formal, and informal) and community leaders who work on climate-related topics. During the training, we aim to equip participants with tools for analyzing and critically evaluating dominant narratives about climate change. We will cover topics such as: - Awareness of the role of language in perceiving the world and creating social change. - Dominant narratives about climate change. - Missing perspectives in climate narratives, with particular emphasis on marginalized groups. - Creating alternative narratives about climate justice. - Strategies for dealing with disinformation and arguments denying the causes and consequences of climate change. - Tools for self-reflection on climate narratives. Trainers: Łukasz Bartosik – trainer, expert, and creator of educational programs in the field of global education and world narratives. Katarzyna Radzikowska – trainer and editor, author of projects and materials on the role of language in shaping reality. Special guest: Szymon Opryszek – reporter, graduate of the first edition of the School of Ecopoetics, author of the book "Water. The Story of a Kidnapping." 📍 Organizational information: - The training is free and takes place in Warsaw, at the sTOP headquarters (ul. Warecka). - Vegetarian or vegan lunch will be provided during the training. - Participants are responsible for organizing their own travel and accommodation. - Due to limited spots, selected participants will be invited to join. 📅 Applications are open until July 27. 📧 Recruitment results will be announced via email by July 30. 🔗 Application link: https://forms.gle/1qNBq6x6LiUjqzHk8 The training is part of the project "Reflecting on Climate Narratives" funded by the European Union.
