    About the event

Things we don't want to know about... but should These are the topics we think we know, but often overlook or simply prefer not to confront — out of convenience, guilt, or perhaps a lack of belief that change is possible. 📅 On September 14, 2025, at the Amphitheater of the Wola Cultural Center in Sowiński Park, we invite you to a discussion and breakfast, during which, together with people from the worlds of culture, art, science, and politics, we will explore issues at the intersection of culture and ecology — the uncomfortable, the difficult, as well as the inspiring and hopeful. We will consider what culture can do for ecology, how to support and promote more environmentally friendly attitudes, what we can truly change, and if so — how, as well as which practices, actions, and ideas can support the cultural and artistic environment today. We will meet on the Amphitheater stage, over a Foodsharing breakfast, and with minimalist live musical accompaniment by Jacek Lachowicz (L.A.S), divided into 4 rounds. Round 1 | 12:00-12:40 - Ecological cultural production - experiences and dreams - Gabriela Felińczak – music manager - Krzysztof Kilar – sound engineer - Anna Ptak – curator and researcher - Michał Zadara – director and activist Round 2 | 12:50-13:30 - Local ecologies - co-creation, co-responsibility, co-care - Diana Lelonek – artist working at the intersection of art and activism - Aleksandra Litorowicz – president of the PUSZKA Foundation, researcher, and curator - Wiktor Jędrzejewski – coordinator of Gniazdo (Climate Activism Center) - Krzysztof Mikołajewski – director of the Wola Cultural Center 30-minute break, enjoy breakfast Round 3 | 14:00-14:40 - Invisible traces - digital ecology - Maria Drabczyk – president of the Digital Center - Joanna Murzyn – technology activist - Tomasz Szeligowski – UX specialist Round 4 | 14:50-15:30 - Agency and ecology - grassroots initiatives, new collaborations, and policies - Jacek Kisiel – deputy director at the Air Protection and Climate Policy Office of the City of Warsaw - Magdalena Klepczarek – head of the Cultural Institutions Department, Culture Office of the City of Warsaw - Michał Suchora – culture manager, spokesperson for the Green Party - Bogna Świątkowska – president of the Bęc Zmiana Foundation This will be a space not only for discussion but also for collective reflection on how to make change possible. The meeting will be hosted by Aleksandra Jach — art curator, facilitator, and coach, who has been working for years at the intersection of culture and ecology, collaborating with public institutions, social organizations, and businesses.
