It is impossible to talk about Witkacy without emotions. Because he was an artist who lived at 200%, painted, wrote, philosophized, provoked - all with constant self-irony and full awareness of his own peculiarity. The exhibition "Tempting Witkacy" is not only a review of his work but also an opportunity to enter the world of a man who balanced between philosophy, form, and complete madness. During the guided tour, we will talk about his portraits: - Those created "under the influence" and those made on commission, with a category system like an eccentric menu. - About drugs, the philosophy of Pure Form, self-portraits as performances, and how far ahead of his time he was. We will also discuss his relationships with women (stormy), his solitude in the Tatra Mountains, and his crazy balancing act between existential drama and cabaret absurdity. I won't explain everything - because Witkacy didn't always want to be understood - but I will try to show what drove him and why he still strongly influences the imagination today. See you at the exhibition, Paweł Mrozowicz
