Morphology - Movement Workshops

About the event

We invite you to movement workshops open to people of all dance skill levels. Starting with simple somatic exercises and moving through meditation in motion, we will immerse ourselves in a shared dance exploring the possibilities of morphing, i.e., smoothly transitioning through various states and forms. The event is a grassroots initiative made possible thanks to the courtesy of Dominika A. Wasilewska. Facilitator: - Dominika A. Wasilewska - art historian, performer, interdisciplinary artist. In her practice, she examines possible worlds of art, bodily pleasure, and movement. Interpersonal constellations, grassroots actions, and somatic practices are the core of her interests. She has been connected with contemporary dance since childhood and with performance art since 2021. She participated in the play "Inne" (2022, dir. Ł. Horbów, M. Kryński in collaboration with Zawirowania Dance Theatre), performed at Le Guern Gallery and Foksal Gallery Foundation in Warsaw, as well as at Jasna 10: Social Institution of Culture by Krytyka Polityczna. She is a graduate of Kem School (2022) and the Experimental Choreography Course at Warsaw's Centrum w Ruchu (2023).
