I invite you for a walk through the most important cemetery in Warsaw. We will learn about its history. We will see the most beautiful tombstones, as well as those that are strange and unusual. I will talk about tombstone symbolism – we will try to find an owl, a snake, and a lamb, as well as plant motifs. We will also stop by the graves of national heroes, writers, and poets, such as the author of the poem "Mr. Kitty was sick and lay in bed." There will also be Plastuś, and perhaps we will manage to spot squirrels (the real ones). The event is free and takes place as part of the Warsaw Family Days organized by the Zwalcz Nudę Foundation. 📅 Date: Sunday, September 14, 2025 ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM 📍 Starting point: St. Honorata Gate (Powązkowska Street 14) ⏳ Duration: approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes 📞 Phone number of the guide: 505-787-737 REGISTRATION REQUIRED: https://warszawskiednirodzinne.pl/rodzinnie-po-cmentarzu Best regards, Justyna Kozłowska, licensed PTTK guide in Warsaw, certified varsavianist The project is co-financed by the Capital City of Warsaw.
