DESCRIPTION OF WORKSHOPS:
● Workshops on playing the frame drum in the style of Tadeusz Duda:
On the first day, we will learn how to hold the drum to extract sound from it most effectively, as well as how kajockie obery really are. Are they really in threes? We will discover what the phrase of the oberka truly is and how it can be emphasized on the drum. On the second day, we will consider the embellishments used by Tadeusz Duda, we will search together for ways to keep the rhythm and pulse characteristic of the old kajocka violin music, and we will also look at archival recordings where Tadeusz Duda drums for various musicians. Leading - Witek Wojciechowski.
● Workshops on violin melodies based on Józef Kędzierski:
On the first day, we will focus on several melodies from this wonderful violinist, including one of his favorites - often called 'Kozyra' in the area. This will be an introduction to learning the specific bowing style of Kędzierski, which is closely related to dance and the characteristic accentuation of family singing. On the second day, we will learn what is most important in Kędzierski's music - the variants. They originate from singing, but find their elaborate development in violin playing. We will examine them closely using two oberks, particularly favored by the Kędzierski family. Leading - Antek Hasso-Agopsowicz.
● Singing workshops in the Kędzierski style:
They will be led by our Mistresses, the daughters of Józef Kędzierski - Zofia Kmieciak and Kazimiera Obidowska. The ladies have often sung at weddings in Rdzuchów and the surrounding areas as older bridesmaids. They remember the old repertoire, the embellishments characteristic of family musicality, and the performance manners. This is an unusual face of Radom's wyrywas and songs, extremely different from Gałki or Przystałowice, located just a few kilometers away.
