Dear Sir or Madam,

A year ago, we announced for the first time a 'fundraiser' for Mrs. Basia Kowalska - the health problems of her daughter Beata, the death of her husband... We hoped that everything was heading towards improvement... However, life goes on, and instead of problems disappearing, they are only piling up. New issues have arisen on top of the existing ones, including unfortunately the deterioration of Mrs. Basia's health, who currently requires hospitalization. And unfortunately - this entails rising costs: treatment, transportation, daily living... as well as ongoing support for her daughter Beata, who is still struggling with the effects of the illness - now on her own.

Let the upcoming name day of Mrs. Basia Kowalska be just an excuse: instead of flowers - let’s make a 'fundraiser' that will help at least in addressing the simplest problems related to financing.

As a former student and mentee of Mrs. Basia, I know that whenever she could, she helped everyone and anyone, unconditionally, offering whatever was needed. Always selfless, always offering help and support to those in need. Without hesitation, without doubt, without expecting anything in return or thanks - as everyone who knows her, from the world of sports, from the tennis courts, or like me (and many others in the past years) - her former student, knows well.

Our wonderful Coach never cared about earthly benefits - so today it is up to us to help her, and the anniversary is a wonderful and simple occasion for that. Today it’s our turn - to repay her for that always selfless help over the years.

Every zloty and every gesture counts. Few deserve this help as much as Mrs. Basia Kowalska, and since she would never ask for support herself, let’s not allow it to be necessary.
