Two long-awaited returns, four cities, sixteen rituals… 👇
Blindead 23, Obscure Sphinx, Wij, and Kryształ will visit the following cities together:
⚫ 16.01 – Kraków, Kwadrat
🟠 17.01 – Warszawa, Progresja
⚫ 18.01 – Gdańsk, B90
🟠 19.01 – Wrocław, A2
In 2019, after the release of the album 'Niewiosna,' Blindead disappeared for a few years, only to return in 2024 with a material titled 'Vanishing,' thus – paradoxically – 'Znikanie.' This new incarnation of the band, with a changed lineup and the name: Blindead 23. Their approach to music has not changed: they play metal that is more exploratory than extreme, but total, engulfing the listener completely in a whirlpool of sounds and emotions.
Blindead 23 will perform this tour with a lineup that includes, alongside Mateusz, Patryk Zwoliński (vocals) and Paweł Jaroszewicz (drums), and they will be joined on stage by: Roger Öjersson (Katatonia), Maciej Janas (Ketha), and Kuba Mańkowski (producer of 'Vanishing'). The concert program will feature both new songs and 'Affliction' by Blindead, played in full to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the material's release.
Obscure Sphinx has been silent for a good few years, and it was a significant silence – fans of the suffocating melancholy of darkness, stretched between doom and post-metal, felt their absence acutely. Fortunately, that is now in the past, as the Warsaw quartet has had two fantastic festival concerts at Summer Dying Loud and Metal Mine, and is working on the successor to the album 'Epitaphs.'
Wij is in an alliance with the devil, conjuring the spirits of the founding fathers of metal, and in nature, they most eagerly seek out aberrations. With the album 'Przestwór' released a year ago, they proved that it is possible to sound both archaic and modern, and their concerts transport the audience to a dark and slippery realm inhabited by Lucyferyna, Porońca, Skrzypłocz, Żmija, and other oddities.
It is known where the roses of love are most gladly accepted, while 'Kwiaty zła' is a well-received single promoting 'Poświaty,' the second album of the Warsaw quartet Kryształ, announced for the end of November. The cold wave washes the shores of metal here, sometimes piling up into shoegaze walls of sound.
