As part of the VIII Festival from Bikers to Hipsters, Stara Rzeka and BLUSH will perform:
💎 Stara Rzeka is a solo project of Jakub Ziołek, a musician from Bydgoszcz associated with bands such as Alameda, T’ien Lai, Jantar, Innercity Ensemble, and Zimpel/Ziołek. So far, he has released two warmly received albums: “Cień chmury nad ukrytym polem” (2013, Instant Classic) and “Zamknęły się oczy ziemi” (2015, Instant Classic). From 2014 to 2018, he performed at many Polish and international festivals, including Primavera in Barcelona, CTM in Berlin, Unsound in New York, London, Krakow, and Dushanbe, Jazz & Experimental Music from Poland in Istanbul, Incubate in Tilburg, Le Guess Who? in Utrecht, CCSP in Sao Paulo, Les Siestes Electroniques in Toulouse, and Alternativa in Prague. In 2016, Ziołek received the Paszport Polityki award in the “popular music” category, among others, for his work with Stara Rzeka. After several years of suspending the project, the artist decided to resume playing and recording solo in the spirit of progressive folk and contemporary deconstructed electronics.
💎 BLUSH – an open guitar form, stretched between dark ambient and noise. Stories of fear, anger, and uncertainty told in the heterotopias of dreams.
The Blush Noise album was recorded in December 2024 at the Dwa Domy studio.
The premiere of the material will take place at the VIII Festival from Bikers to Hipsters.
