It's already another year when the Museum of Caricature hosts an international exhibition dedicated to satirical drawing.

SATYRYKON is the largest event in Poland dedicated to satirical drawing, organized continuously for 47 years, which simultaneously keeps a finger on the pulse of new trends. It is an open competition for cartoonists, graphic artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, and poster artists.

This year, works were evaluated in two categories: ATRAPA (this year's theme) and traditionally JOKE and SATIRE. The jury, after viewing 2783 works by 836 authors from 61 countries around the world, qualified 172 works for the post-competition exhibition. The most important trophy – the Grand Prix of Satyrykon 2024 – goes to Paweł Kuczyński for the work 'Wall.'

Next to the Satyrykon exhibition – in the lower hall of the Museum of Caricature – we will also showcase the works of the winners of the sketchbook competition SKETCH HAS POWER.

The SKETCH HAS POWER competition, organized for the fourth time, is aimed at students, graduates, and pupils of art schools and aims to select an original collection of sketches by one author. For the 4th edition of the competition, 423 sketchbooks from all over Poland were submitted, of which 100 works were qualified for the post-competition exhibition.

The exhibition will be accompanied by drawing workshops on request for schools and open free workshops (included in the ticket price for the exhibition) on January 25, 2025, and February 22, 2025.
