The concert 'Hey Christmas, Christmas' is a unique musical event aimed at bringing closer the beautiful tradition of caroling. These customs connect generations and protect intangible cultural heritage from being forgotten.

As part of the concert, we will present archival audio recordings of the authentic Star from the caroling group Herody, Henryk Mielaszewski (born 1914), as well as, thanks to the courtesy of the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw – old photographs of carolers and caroling props. This film fragment will open our joint caroling, as we will primarily be singing for you.

After a colorful procession among the audience of carolers – singers from the Konstancin Chamber Choir – you will have the opportunity to hear beautiful carols, both Polish and foreign.

The program includes, among others, the following carols and pastorals:

– Hey, on the day of birth;

– Angel;

– We too, shepherds;

– Three kings traveled;

– I will sing to Jesus;

– New radist’ stala (Ukrainian carol);

– Tu scendi dalle stelle (Italian carol);

– Deck the hall (Welsh carol);

– Les anges dans nos campagnes (French carol);

– Adeste fideles (Irish carol);

– Don Oíche Úd i mBeithil (I sing of the night in Bethlehem – Celtic carol).
