Together with the archivist and guide, Milena Wicepolska-Góralczyk, we will embark on a journey into the past of our loved ones who participated in the events of the Warsaw Uprising in Praga. Many of us have been searching for missing elements in our family history for many years – information about fates, places of residence, the background of decisions made by grandparents, grandmothers, fathers, and mothers.

During the sessions, we will show how to use available sources (archives, information databases) and we will try to find those missing elements.

Milena Wicepolska-Góralczyk – genealogist, researcher, and guide. She has always been fascinated by discovering the fates of people, the places associated with them, and is fortunate to engage in all of this professionally. She conducts training and consultations on genealogy and archiving topics, as well as guides groups, individual tourists, and organizes study visits. She implements projects for cultural institutions, researchers, and also for individuals seeking information about their families. She specializes in the history of Łódź, particularly the Jews of Łódź. She studied English philology and history. She has collaborated with, among others, the State Archive in Łódź, the Museum of Polish Jews Polin, the Dialogue Forum, the University of Łódź, Yad Vashem, the Galicia Jewish Museum, the Jewish Museum in Auschwitz, and many others.

In her free time, she takes care of plants and sews dresses from old curtains and tablecloths.
