The Impro School invites you to the ACTING SKILLS FOR IMPROVISERS course, led by actress and improviser Katarzyna Kołeczek.

💜 This is a supplementary course that will develop your stage craft and will be based on an acting approach to improvisation. The program includes exercises showing how not to lose the proposed character, how to quickly build a character using physicality, how important the voice and its various shades are, and how to find yourself in a specific genre. We will practice diction, stage courage, move our bodies and voices to discover the dormant possibilities within us that will help us create vivid and credible characters. The program also includes exercises from 'reversed improvisation,' a method of master Anatoly Vasiliev, during which we will read and analyze scenes from Chekhov's plays and then improvise them. And to conclude, a few words about stage presence.

⭐️ KATARZYNA KOŁECZEK ⭐️ Actress, improviser. Graduate of the Warsaw Theatre Academy. Associated with the capital's stages: Och-Teatr, Teatr WarSawy, Comedy Club. She is part of the cast of the Improvised Musical. She performs in the monodramas 'What a fashionable lady should know?' and 'Should a fashionable lady give birth?'. She has acted in many films and series in Poland and the United Kingdom. She is a co-creator of the series 'We Got This' (https://player.pl).

The Impro School has been operating in Warsaw since 2012. It is the first and longest-existing institution in Poland conducting professional training in theatrical and comedic improvisation. It is run by experienced artists from Warsaw stages and active improvisation trainers — actors, comedians, vocalists, writers, screenwriters — with many years of experience, who have learned from renowned teachers and initiators of the global improvisation scene (iO Theatre Chicago, Second City Chicago, UCB New York).
