We invite you to a lecture dedicated to the art of Krzysztof Wodiczko, one of the most important visual artists, art theorists, and the author of the installation 'Voices of Memory,' which is the central point of the Memory Chamber pavilion.
During the meeting, we will recall the most famous works and discuss the most important essays of the artist, who has repeatedly advocated for the 'decolonization of culture' by giving a voice to civilians.
Complementing the lecture will be a 15-minute film in which Krzysztof Wodiczko presents the idea behind the creation of the installation 'Voices of Memory.'
The lecture will be led by Szymon Smolnicki-Woźniak, a researcher of changes occurring in culture and art, an assistant at the Memory Chamber, and also a lecturer at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he teaches courses on media convergence and the issues of viewer perspective.
