Commissioner Marlena Podgajna faces another complicated case. In one of the quiet, rural parishes, a… priest has been crucified. All the clues indicate that more victims are just a matter of time.

Soon, suspicions become facts. Someone is going to great lengths to recreate the biblical scene of stoning. It quickly becomes clear that both victims are on a photo of seminarians from the class of '92 found in the rectory. Podgajna has no doubt that this is related to the case.

What dark secret does a group of friends from years ago hide? And who is playing the highest judge, punishing the priests?

Podgajna and her team must rise to the heights of their abilities and confront the small-town mentality to solve the mystery. Will they manage to stop the murderer before it's too late?
