The end of the year is a time for holiday cleaning and summaries, making it the perfect moment to review and archive your own photos. During the meeting, we want to discuss how to take care of your photographic collections, ways to store digital files and prints, as well as methods for digitizing negatives and old photographs.
Organizing an archive is not only an opportunity to reminisce but also a chance for a more in-depth look at your own photographic work. While sorting through photos, we can ask ourselves many questions: Which frames to keep? What are our photographic skills - what are we proficient in, and what still needs work? We have the chance to discover that from ordinary, everyday photos, it is possible to create interesting, not always obvious photographic series.
During the meeting, Irena Kalicka will talk about the last months of her work with her private, over ten-year archive. The selection of themes, digitization, and digital interventions in images, as well as the production of an exhibition. After the meeting at MuFo, the artist invites those interested for a guided tour of the exhibition 'Tenant' at the Piana gallery on Długa Street.
