Climacterium ... and already' (something between a cabaret, a musical, and a farce)

The show 'Climacterium... and already' is a pleasant evening with women and for women, and its main theme is a word that is not spoken in everyday life. Four friends, meeting in a boutique run by one of them, transform the sensitive issue of menopause into little songs and dances. They sing about their troubling ailments to well-known melodies, e.g., about hot flashes to the tune of the song 'Cuba, an island like a volcano'

The heroines of the musical are four women of 'menopausal age'. They all have problems they need to deal with. We want to show that climacterium is part of a woman's life - the heroines on stage have it, but so do the women in the audience - they had it, have it, or will have it. It is a difficult time for a woman, which does not mean it is hopeless. The awareness of a shared experience is important - the women in the audience learn that their ailments are not something exceptional. Although menopause affects all women, it is a shameful topic, and consequently - carefully avoided. Through the show, we want to illustrate, in an understandable, accessible, and humorous way, how various ways exist to cope with it. Some heroines want to undergo hormone replacement therapy, others are afraid of it and choose herbal medicine, while others turn to yoga or gymnastics.

The play is meant to showcase these various behaviors, always in a humorous way - especially since humor itself is an excellent remedy (without side effects). Laughing makes it easier to endure life's adversities.
