PRL – three letters, but so much content. For some, it is an era associated solely with oppression, empty store shelves, a broadly understood grayness, and hopelessness; others, however, gladly return to those times in their memories because their youth fell during these seemingly sad times. On one thing, we all agree. It is a significant piece of Polish history that cannot be forgotten for various reasons.
We invite you to a unique tour of Warsaw during the PRL era. On board our historic Jelcz 'Ogórek,' you will have the opportunity to learn how much this city changed after World War II. Our guide will take you to places where time has stood still.
You will find out how the capital was rebuilt from the war's destruction, what ideas the new authorities had for Warsaw. Which of these plans were realized and which remained only on paper. Together with the guide, you will search for old PRL-era advertising murals, iconic establishments still in operation today, and those that have long been forgotten. You will talk about famous residents of the PRL capital and listen to funny anecdotes involving them.
However, that's not all, because this time we will not only drive around the city but also take you to our original, Praga Melina, where the collected exhibits will evoke childhood memories - after all, this is exactly how our parents' and grandparents' homes were furnished.
