Nature has endowed Ewa Bem with a voice of extraordinary timbre, captivating musicality, and a sense of swing, although she is convinced that music is in her genes thanks to her musical ancestors. A unique, warm voice, stage charisma, and authenticity. A wonderful vocalist, an exceptional personality with impeccable stage manners. She has recorded 15 albums and performed hundreds of concerts in front of audiences in the country, as well as in Europe, America, Africa, and Asia.
Ewa Bem belongs to the group of the most outstanding Polish singers and is considered the First Lady of Polish Jazz in the jazz community. She began her great career with the band Bemibek, a formation exceptional for its time in the Polish music market. She has collaborated with the biggest names in the Polish jazz scene, including Wojciech Karolak, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Jan 'Ptaszyn' Wróblewski, Marek Bliziński, and Henryk Miśkiewicz. Since 1987, with short breaks, she has been collaborating with Andrzej Jagodziński, a pianist, arranger, composer, and another great figure in the Polish music scene.
This year, the artist celebrates the 50th anniversary of her artistic work. The undeniable asset of Ewa Bem's programs has always been the diversity of the repertoire, but especially in the jubilee year, the selection of pieces represents a cross-section of her repertoire from the last 50 years.
Starting from her biggest hits, through new arrangements of works by other performers, the artist also performs pieces with a distinctly jazz sound. All pieces in excellent arrangements by Andrzej Jagodziński, Henryk Miśkiewicz, and Robert Majewski.
