________
The manuscripts presented at the exhibition form a story: from Lviv to Warsaw, from the suitcases of a homeless man – to 'packing' for the final journey-death, from the thrill of freedom in travels – to the bitterness of returns to the homeland, from the delight in foreign cities – to the longing for the 'non-existent city,' from joy here and now – to the melancholy of the past, from euphoric gratitude – to the resignation of the end. It is a story about Herbert, but also a universal story about life, transience, and death.
