Swing parties at DZiK have a 10-year history!

It’s an extraordinary place where we feel and have always felt welcome, a place that has witnessed millions of swingouts and smiles.

It has been a witness to the first steps of many Warsaw dancers, both students and instructors.

* During dancing, refrain from lifts and acrobatic figures - they pose a risk to other dancers.

* Be careful of those dancing around you. On a crowded dance floor, it’s easy to step on or kick someone. We encourage you to avoid shoes with hard heels.

* We recommend disinfecting or washing hands between dances.

* Stay home if you have been in contact with someone sick with COVID-19 in the last few days or if you feel unwell.

* First time at a dance party? Don’t be afraid to hit the dance floor. Everyone you see in front of you started somewhere too!

* If you feel uncomfortable dancing with someone, it’s okay to thank them for the dance and end it early! You can justify it, but you don’t have to.

* If you don’t want to dance with someone, want to take a break, or simply aren’t in the mood to dance - you can refuse. You can justify it, but you don’t have to.

Since 2009, we have been regularly conducting swing dance classes from the first half of the 20th century in Warsaw, such as Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, and Balboa. We are also actively involved in organizing workshops and events promoting both dance and swing music.
