'Croatia to Eat' is another part of the extremely popular series of books by Bartek Kieżun that combines erudite stories and personal tales with delicious recipes. Previously, books about the cuisine and food culture in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Athens, Naples, Jerusalem, and Istanbul were created.
This time, Bartek Kieżun, a lover of Mediterranean cuisine, takes us to Croatia and as he says: shares memories and stories that particularly touched his heart.
In the pages of this book, you will meet Croatian kings, Roman emperors, and Ottoman sultans. And on the plates, you will see extraordinary, tasty combinations, because in the culinary universe of Croatia, Greeks and Romans, Turks and Hungarians, Italians and Austrians mixed more or less successfully. And the result? Unique and unparalleled.
See for yourself! We invite you to meet the author.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
'A highly competent and passionately written book, beautifully published — such things do not happen too often.' – Robert Makłowicz.
'Even when I was skimming through this book, I knew it would become my faithful companion and I would open it every time I longed for Croatian scents, flavors, and colors. And then I immersed myself in Bartek Kieżun's stories and realized that it is much more than a cookbook — it is also an unconventional report, an engaging travel essay, and above all, a beautiful tribute to Croatia.' – Aleksandra Wojtaszek, Croatian studies expert.
