'If you want to reach every person in the audience, it's not about being bigger, it's about going deeper.”
Sanford Meisner
I invite you to an intensive workshop on Sanford Meisner's acting technique. If you lack effectiveness on stage or on set, want to deepen your acting skills, and enjoy playing instead of facing stress – this event is for you!
During the workshop, we will focus on the relationships and motivations of the actor, which are the foundation for building effective and impactful scenes with high tension. You will learn tools that will help you build authentic and deep relationships with your partner. You will also discover what drives a character best and how to effectively create goals in a scene to make it magnetic to the audience. You will easily apply all of this in your work on stage or in front of the camera.
The workshop is intended for adults, mainly actors, acting students, performers, and anyone who wants to deepen their skills in working on stage and in front of the camera. It is a workshop for those who have had some experience with Meisner's technique and know its fundamentals. If you are not one of those people – don't worry. Write to me, and we will arrange an introductory online class where I will introduce you to the basics of the technique.
ABOUT SANFORD MEISNER:
He is one of the greatest and most influential acting teachers of the 20th century, a member and actor of the Group Theatre. Since 1935, he dedicated himself mainly to teaching, first in New York, then in Los Angeles. Many outstanding actors have emerged from his tutelage, among whom 37 have received an Oscar (including Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, James Caan, Eli Wallach, and Jeff Goldblum). For Meisner, acting was rooted in real action derived from the relationship with the scene partner. He emphasized eliciting genuine interactions between actors, which helped them respond to each other authentically within imagined circumstances, adhering to the principle of 'here and now.'
