We cordially invite you to the exhibition 'Styk,' which combines the art of Agnieszka Rowińska with the rawness of the o9 space. This intriguing meeting of artistic visions with a unique carpentry workshop opens new perspectives for interpreting art and space.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition 'Styk' by Agnieszka Rowińska, realized in collaboration with o9, is a unique site-specific installation that integrates the artist's works into the surroundings of the workshop. The raw elements of the space, such as tools and materials, will become an integral part of the exhibition, entering into a dialogue with the paintings.
Rowińska, through her large-format, monochromatic works, explores the boundaries between consciousness and the unconscious. Dots and lines – characteristic of her work – interact with the o9 space, creating a metaphor for thought processes, associations, and sudden insights.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover how the subconscious manifests in daily life and work, and engage in creative processes that often escape our attention.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Agnieszka Rowińska is a Polish artist, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, whose works explore the relationship between consciousness and the unconscious. She specializes in large-format oil paintings, created using precise, repetitive gestures. Her technique leads to a meditative experience, revealing what is hidden in the subconscious. She has participated in numerous international residencies and exhibitions, including in Germany, Italy, Iceland, and the Philippines.
ABOUT o9
o9 is a conglomerate consisting of many elements of artistic activity, which simultaneously integrates a community of various creators, designers, and craftsmen. The place creates several zones – an open workshop, an exhibition space, and a sales point. The environment, as well as the room, constitutes a borderland full of contrasts, where Prague meets Bródno, the industrial nature of the building complex collides with the artistic character of the interior, and the workshop meets the gallery. The plasticity of what o9 is allows everyone to individually interpret this space.
