'Crisis' is a solstice, a breakthrough, a turning point. For us, last year's album became something like that. After intense months and memorable concerts, we decided that our 'Crisis' deserves one more presentation in Warsaw - already on October 8 at a concert that is part of the Hydrozagadka birthday celebrations.

The rebellious Podwórkowa Orchestra 'Hańba!' was created as a fictional musical story, whose heroes condemned the evils of the surrounding world of the 30s and 40s: hatred, social inequalities, militarism, chauvinism, anti-Semitism with the support of poets (both well-known - Tuwim, Broniewski, and lesser-known - Szymański, Szenwald, Ginczanka, Wittlin) and backyard instrumentation.

In the 11th year of the band's activity, however, it is impossible to distinguish where fiction ends and historical backdrop begins, and where the story of the sad face of the 20s of the 21st century starts.

In 2018, the band was honored with the Paszport Polityki 'for a musical-literary-political reconstruction that produces a surprising effect: creatively refreshing the formula of folk and punk, while accurately describing today's Polish conflicts and threats.' Hańba! is also a laureate of the Grzegorz Ciechowski Award (2017) and the Czesław Niemen Award (New Tradition 2014).
