We invite all creative caregivers and guardians along with their children to the monthly meetings at the Creative Mothers' Daycare in Ujazdowski.

The meetings at the Daycare will serve to strengthen the creative processes of those who combine the roles of parent and artist. Their goal is to work together on-site and provide mutual support. We will discuss opportunities for developing creative work and ongoing projects, encouraging supportive exchanges within the circle. We want to regularly check: “Have you managed to find time for creativity? How can we help you with that?”.

The entire meeting will take place from 16:00 to 18:00.
People with children under 5 are invited together to the Cradle Room on level 0 in the Laboratory building next to the Ujazdowski Castle; children over five years old will participate in workshops prepared by the education department of Ujazdowski in the educational room (in the Ujazdowski Castle building, entrance through the main gallery hall.

The Creative Mothers group was founded in mid-2023 by visual artists who are parents and provide care for children. It is intended for all creative caregivers and guardians.

Being a parent significantly impacts artistic practice, causing certain limitations, which is why we have built a community that provides support and allows for carving out time for creative work.

The beginning of our activities was a program of home residencies that we implemented in collaboration with the Warsaw Cultural Observatory in December 2023 and January 2024. As part of the residency, we formed a group, initiated the creative processes of the participants, created a structure for work, and additional external commitments to it. Participants received financial support for childcare, tutoring from Joanna Synowiec and Jaśmina Wójcik, as well as support from the group and peer tandems. At the turn of May and June, the group held an exhibition and a series of accompanying activities at the Rotating Cultural House in Jazdów. Among the events were creative workshops for caregivers with children and for pregnant individuals, a reading meeting, and guided tours. The activities expanded the group's experimental field to include presentations and additional participants who shared our experience and provided tools and space for other creative caregivers and guardians. Creative Mothers are also finalists of the 6th edition of the Creative Environment Strengthening Program at Jasna 10.

The Daycare is organized by Agnieszka Strzeżek, Agata Klepka, and Sonia Jaszczyńska.

The Creative Mothers group also includes Anna Stefańska-Gozdecka, Aleksandra Wiechowska, Sylwia Walczowska, Agnieszka Palińska, Anna Marczak-Gut, Antonina Gugała, Magdalena Nowosadzka, and Julia Knap. The group has a horizontal structure, is open to new members, and includes and provides care for children.
