The National Fund for Children is a non-governmental organization with the status of a public benefit organization (OPP) established in 1981. It is an association of scientists, creators, doctors, and students. The main goal of the Fund is to assist exceptionally gifted students in developing scientific interests and artistic talents, as well as improving care for gifted children in the Polish education system. So far, several thousand talented young Poles have gone through the ZDOLNI Program – today they are outstanding scientists, doctors, science promoters, and artists. The association's activities are based on cooperation with numerous universities, research centers, and cultural institutions, as well as with many individual researchers who, as volunteers, want to work with gifted youth. Program participants have the opportunity to take part in numerous research workshops, seminars, meetings, and consultations with the best specialists in their field. Annually, the association invites talented teenagers to 20 specialized research workshops, 9-10 humanities seminars, music workshops, an outdoor art workshop, two multidisciplinary meetings, and three multidisciplinary scientific camps. Additionally, it organizes about 20 public concerts and 3-4 exhibitions for them. Part of the offered assistance includes individual targeted scholarships.
More information about the Fund is available on the website: www.fundusz.org.
