We are pleased to invite you to the course 'Feline Dermorythms – Diagnosis and Therapy of Skin Diseases in Cats from A to Z,' which will take place on October 19, 2024, at al. Niepodległości 80 in Warsaw.
The course will be conducted by Joanna Karaś-Tęcza, a veterinarian specializing in veterinary dermatology and dermatological cytology for many years, known for her lectures in Poland and abroad, and Ewa Konarzewska.
Ewa Konarzewska graduated in 2013 from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. During her studies, she completed internships at Roseland Animal Hospital in South Bend, USA, and at the Veterinary Medicine University Animal Hospital in Vienna. She began her professional work, focusing on the cytological diagnosis of tumors, at the specialized oncology office of Dr. Jarosław Balcerzak in Warsaw. She has been working at the Dermawet office since 2020 under the watchful eye of Joanna Karaś-Tęcza, who is preparing Ewa Konarzewska to pursue her professional plans: starting a residency and obtaining the title of certified veterinary dermatologist after successfully passing the exam. Ewa Konarzewska has completed all courses organized at Dermawet EDU in the fields of cytology, dermatology, and dermatological diagnostics, as well as diagnostics of lymphomas, leukemias, and bone marrow. For the past two years, she has participated in conducting courses on Clinical Otology, Immunological Skin Diseases in Dogs and Cats, and the Feline Dermorythms course, and participants of these courses highly rate Ewa's teaching methods and her knowledge. Privately, she is a happy mother of energetic Olusia and the owner of two cats and a dog named Fenek.
The course is intended for any practitioner who would like to learn how to effectively and correctly manage feline dermatological patients. Skin diseases will be discussed, both with and without itching, as well as those accompanying other conditions.
The course will have no more than 20 participants, ensuring a high degree of interaction between participants and the lecturer. Classes start at 8:30 AM and end around 8:00 PM, although the end time may vary slightly depending on the level of interaction between participants and the lecturer. The cost of participation in the course is 2200 PLN gross, payable in one installment or in two installments. During the course, coffee breaks, breakfast, and lunch are provided, and their cost is included in the price.

9:00-10:00 FAS/FASS - management of the allergic cat: clinical examination, additional tests, treatment, and long-term recommendations. Management of special breeds - devon rex and sphinx. Innovative treatment methods - laser in cats.
10:00-11:00 Immunological skin diseases in cats - pemphigus foliaceus, plasmacytic dermatitis - diagnosis and treatment.
11:00-11:30 Breakfast.
11:30-13:30 Infectious skin diseases in cats - feline cold, calicivirus, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, toxoplasmosis, leishmaniasis, and mycoses - clinical presentation, how to diagnose quickly and how to treat, what diagnostic and therapeutic mistakes to avoid. A cat with leukemia as a dermatological patient.
13:30-14:30 Lunch.
14:30-15:30 The endocrinological cat at the dermatologist.
15:30-17:15 Skin tumors in cats - rapid diagnosis, additional tests, and management.
17:15-17:45 Break.
17:45-20:00 Clinical cases - discussion of 20 feline dermatological patients - from history to recovery - cases discussed by Ewa Konarzewska.
