Where the majesty of the mountains opens the gates of heaven.
The music of Kurdistan has great power that is not yet known to Western audiences. The musicians and singers of this region bring to life millennia of history and culture. The heart of this music is Kurdish folk music, which celebrates the majesty of God and Nature. This music is like a door to a magnificent, divine world. It allows you to experience yourself as part of this world, to connect with this energy, to experience yourself as something more than an individual.

Arad Emamgholi
was born in 1983 in the city of Sanandaj in Iran. Already in early childhood - thanks to his father, who is a dervish - he became acquainted with the daf instrument, and at the age of five, he played it so well that he went with his father and brothers to Chaneghahu (a meeting place for dervishes) twice a week. Due to the difficult situation and lack of prospects in Sanandaj, he was forced to move to Tehran. He started there under very difficult financial conditions, but slowly got to know various composers and instrumentalists, continuing his work. Due to his interest in cinematography, he pursued studies in this field and created several short documentary films, but music and the daf instrument remained his greatest love, and for this reason, music became his main profession.
