Beginner Cup is a tournament in the 8-ball variant dedicated to beginner players. The competitions take place every Monday at the 147 Break club, ul. Nowogrodzka 84/86. We invite you to the XXVI edition of the games. Don't hesitate and test your skills in a battle against other amateurs. Here, everyone has a chance to win! 😉
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the regulations:
1. Organizer
The organizer of the Beginner Cup tournament is Black Ball Events and the 147 Break billiard club.
2. Date and place
Tournaments will be held every Monday at the 147 Break billiard club, ul. Nowogrodzka 84/86 in Warsaw, starting at 19:00. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the tournament in exceptional situations after informing the players in advance.
3. Game system
3.1 Tournaments will be played in the 8-ball variant.
3.2 Each tournament will consist of the following phases: group and knockout. All players will be randomly assigned to groups.
The number of players in groups will be modified based on the number of registered participants. Matches will be played to 2 won games.
3.2.1 The rules for advancing from the group are as follows:
- the top two places in the group guarantee advancement to the knockout phase
- if two players have the same number of wins, the higher place is determined by the game balance; if three or more players have the same number of wins and game balance,
the following criteria will be considered in order:
1) direct encounters between these players (points - small table)
2) game difference in matches between these players (games - small table)
3) game difference in all matches in the group (games - large table)
In the first round of the knockout phase, group winners will be seeded, and second-place players will be matched to them according to the scheme: A1 – C2, B1 – D2, C1 – A2, D1 – B2.
3.3 Points will be awarded for places in individual tournaments for the final ranking.

3.3.1 The first 16 players in the final ranking will qualify for the season-ending BEGINNER MASTERS tournament,
4. Conditions of participation
Anyone can participate in the tournament who is a beginner billiard player and pays the entry fee, excluding:
- former and current players of the 1st and 2nd Polish Billiard League and the Extra League
The organizer reserves the right to assign a handicap in exceptional situations.
The entry fee for the tournament is 45 PLN.
5. Prizes
Weekly prizes are provided for:
- victory: medal, voucher for 2 hours of billiards
- 2nd place: voucher for 2 hours of billiards
Additionally, there are material prizes and trophies for places in the final ranking and the Masters tournament.
6. The Beginner Cup tournament is a ranking tournament of the Warsaw Pool Tour series with a one-star rating and is included in the Warsaw Ranking classification.
7. In matters not regulated by these regulations, the organizer's decisions apply.
8. The organizer reserves the right to change the regulations.
9. A person participating in the tournament simultaneously accepts the regulations and consents to the processing of their image and personal data for marketing purposes of the 147 Break club and Black Ball Events.
