invites you on October 19-20, 2024 to
a vocal workshop for beginners in Warsaw
“DISCOVER YOUR VOICE” VOICE LABORATORY
LED BY OLGA SZWAJGIER
“..I believe that every person is creative. Improvisation is...innate. One just needs to focus the right attention on oneself and believe in oneself. The visible vibration is light, and the audible is sound. One sees and hears sound and color. Because it is the same”/Olga Szwajgier/
We invite you to a vocal workshop with Olga Szwajgier - one of the greatest sopranos in the world, but also a charming woman, full of joy of life and a sense of humor, gifted with an extraordinary ability to work with people. Classes with her are pure pleasure. At the beginning, Olga helps each participant find their own, personal sound, as well as the place where it is born within us. She teaches how to produce sound effortlessly. And all this happens with her kind and warm support. In the first workshop, participants do not yet work with specific musical material such as a song or piece. Beginners work only with sound, because the most important thing is to learn proper voice emission at the beginning of their “vocal journey.”
Olga's workshops are intended not only for amateurs but also for vocalists, actors, teachers, and those for whom a clear and resonant voice at work is essential. From Olga's pedagogical experience, it follows that there are no people without hearing, voice, or sense of rhythm; there is only the inability to use these means of expression. Olga teaches how to sing with the whole body, believing that what is available to her is also available to other people. I encourage everyone who would like to open up to this new and extraordinary form of self-expression to participate in the workshop.
The workshop with Olga Szwajgier is primarily about searching, discovering oneself and one's sound. The classes inspire participants to explore and seek their hidden vocal possibilities, help rebuild faith in oneself, teach tolerance and self-acceptance, and teach how to use one's mistakes as “masters” in development.
Olga does not impose a single correct path; on the contrary – she shows that copying others is a waste of oneself. She encourages the use of the power of one's intuition, imagination, visualization, and autosuggestion. She bases her work on the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. She teaches how to heal one's voice and soul.
“When the right sound, prolonged and melodic, passes through the human body – under the influence of vibrations reaching every single cell – all blockages dissolve within us, and energy centers are stimulated. Singing, joyful singing, in praise of God, or however we call it, reaches the deepest regions of the body and soul. It makes us better, more open to the world, and allows us to see its most beautiful sides.”/ Olga Szwajgier/ .
From Olga's pedagogical experience, it follows that there are no people without hearing, voice, or sense of rhythm; there is only the inability to use these means of expression. Olga teaches how to sing with the whole body, believing that what is available to her is also available to other people. She can speak with unprecedented sincerity and courage about her journeys into herself, about searching for the roots of her own existence. She believes that all events in our lives are caused by our thoughts and words – “Your thoughts and words – she often repeats – create your reality.” Therefore, we encourage everyone who would like to open up to this new and extraordinary form of self-expression to participate in the workshop.
Sound is movement, breath, and vibration. It has accompanied us since we came into the world, and even before. It is within us and around us. Each sound is assigned a specific color and energy centers in our body.

Singing regenerates concentration and unleashes creativity. – We reach for our “super-possibilities” – continues Olga – like the sleeping princess in the tower. With love for effort, patience, love for hope, and joy, we awaken in ourselves what has always been us! We are sound, built from sounds, as mystics have always claimed and recently quantum physicists” (Olga Szwajgier)

ARTICLE ABOUT OLGA SZWAJGIER, SENSE
“HUMAN, INSTRUMENT OF SOUND”, AUTHOR: MAGDA RYBAK
Through the release of sound, you enter into harmony with reality. The voice is not limited by melody, it is not transformed by words. You are in Olga Szwajgier's voice laboratory
Every workshop is different – Olga Szwajgier says – but there is always work with breath, imagination, feelings, and the body, with the instrument that is the human being. I lead many relaxation exercises to “quiet” the jaw tension that distorts diction and sound. Free, deep breathing renews our contact with the Whole, restores peace to existence, and improves physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual posture.
Singing calls us to be in unity here and now, thus in unification: thought – word – feeling – action! Singing regenerates concentration and unleashes creativity. – We reach for our “super-possibilities” – continues Olga – like the sleeping princess in the tower. With love for effort, patience, love for hope, and joy, we awaken in ourselves what has always been us! We are sound, built from sounds, as mystics have always claimed and recently quantum physicists.
Joel Sternheimer has proven that our energy field is filled with suspended sounds waiting to enter the body. Each element of an atom has its frequency, and the appropriate sounds we sing and listen to heal us at the atomic level and change the information contained in our DNA code. Musician, composer, and biotherapist Fabien Maman develops this knowledge in practice. He proves that cancer cells disintegrate under the influence of sounds. – We are nourished by what we hear, what we see, what we think, what we feel. Therefore, it is worth “consuming” beautiful sights, good thoughts, wonderful sounds. We are here on earth to bring joy: to ourselves, to others, to the whole planet! We have no other task – summarizes Olga.
Forgiving oneself
– Recently, I had to give a speech in place of my boss – Karina recounts. – I kept telling myself: “Don’t be afraid, everything will go well,” but in front of the microphone, I had such a tight throat that it was hard for me to produce a voice. The therapist recommended singing workshops.
The first day started with an exercise of making silly faces. – I couldn’t allow myself to be that relaxed – Karina admits. – I hope I will find it someday, but I can’t demand too much from myself. Because even as a child, I didn’t make such faces. It was difficult for me; I didn’t know what I would see in the mirror.
Karina always had to be pretty and smiling. And here such a grimace? And it turned out that nothing happens. – During the relaxations, it was extremely pleasant to receive that light. I realized how much I demand from myself on a daily basis. I have this desire for perfection within me; I always wonder how I look, what others think of me. It turns out that I can be imperfect, and that is okay.
In music school, she felt bullied and criticized. – And here at first, I was afraid that I would be judged – she recounts. – I only relaxed when we had to sing out of tune. I remembered that a mistake is the best teacher. We must make mistakes to grow. But in play, in relaxation, with laughter. I hope that someday I will be able to stand in front of the microphone at karaoke, sing, and enjoy it.
During the exercises, one can look at the thoughts and attitudes that arise. Karina: – I saw my limitations and fears, but in a good way, with love. I thought: “The voice is not right, and I can’t do this,” but I laughed at it. I realized that I need to let go of everything I hold inside. I understood that I was hurting myself. I felt regret that I was so cruel to myself and at the same time defenseless. It was touching. I stopped thinking about others; it was just me and the desire to take care of myself. I sang a song of forgiveness and cried.
Enjoying the experience
– I was looking for something to help me free my voice – Wojtek recounts. – I often feel that I speak with a constrained voice, sounds come out that I wouldn’t wish for. Singing out of tune at first was liberating.
When you give yourself permission to make mistakes, you begin the process of reaching purity. – I had great joy from hearing my voice – he recalls. – And from feeling it more and more. I performed simple exercises, such as raising the palate and showing my tongue, and I felt that they helped me sing better and encouraged me to search further.
It was like peeling an onion – stripping away the layers that culture imposes on us. Everything that happened was meant to shake us out of ordinary daily life and lead us deeper into an intimate relationship with the core of existence. – It was free and sublime. An ocean of sounds. There were many, completely new to me, and so strongly intertwined like a carpet. There was a sense of divinity in it – Wojtek continues.
Entering into harmony with reality through the release of sound. By bringing forth a voice that is not limited by melody or transformed by words. – We didn’t have to sing according to notes or any formula – he explains – just to release a sound that connected with others. It is an incredibly valuable experience of acceptance and unconditional existence. It is permission to be fragile. To find the child within oneself.
Wojtek: – The resistance I felt quickly disappeared. I gave myself a lot of freedom. In meditations, I dialogued with sound, with my memories. I didn’t try, or at least I tried not to try. I was more or less aware of the voices around me; sometimes they guided me, sometimes I led them.
A cosmic experience that everyone utilized in the way they could. And even if one feels that it didn’t give them anything because blockages prevented them from accepting it, the body still recorded it. It became their experience.
Allowing the child to sing
– Friends asked me to do a workshop on opening the voice – Natasza recounts. – I showed a few exercises. They liked it, but I concluded that I didn’t know anything. I realized my problem: I am afraid that I am not good enough. I started looking for a workshop that would help me open up.
The first exercises: “silly faces.” – I felt that they helped me free myself from patterns – she recalls. – They disarmed the inner critic with laughter. I said to myself: “What are you doing? How are you behaving?” but I continued making silly faces, laughing at it. Rebellion arose within me when we started singing, rocking our inner child. I thought: “this is unprofessional.”
In the evening, she had a breakdown. – I realized that it was my ego. I am a psychotherapist, and I couldn’t acknowledge authority. I decided to open up. The second day started with laughter exercises. I thought: “how artificial,” but I started laughing and saw that it worked. And that I treat life too task-oriented, too seriously.
She stopped focusing on what she must do and started to play. – Everyone sang differently, and I felt that it was extraordinary – she recounts. – At the moment when everyone focused on allowing themselves to sing freely, beautiful music arose. I began to receive and emit sounds until I completely dissolved into the vibration. That feeling of unity and acceptance gave me a deep experience of contact with the source. However we may call it – God, Absolute, or Our True Self. I felt that we are droplets of a greater whole. I understood that the “I must” attitude can be present in everything – in life, in therapy, and in the approach to God. And it is from this that one must resign. One simply needs to be amazed by what is happening.
Natasza: – For a long time, I held grievances against my parents. During meditation, I saw myself and them as small. I had the impression that I reached the child that is in everyone. I felt a connection with our human nature, which is good somewhere deep down. On the level of bodily experience, it was extraordinary. I had been searching for a home my whole life. And here I felt that I have it within me. That in it, within me, lives my soul, my voice. And when I completely let go of thinking and control, I began to feel that it was not me singing. It was a delightful voice. Deep, strong, beautiful. One voice intertwined with the voices of others. As if one Great Person were singing. And I just had to allow Him to sing through me.
The healing power of sounds:
The consonant M – manifests in white light, corresponds to the crown center, and regenerates the pineal gland.
The vowel I – visible in purples, associated with the so-called third eye; regenerates the pituitary gland.
E – is the throat, blues, the center of communication, and the thyroid gland.
A – the center of the spiritual heart, pinks and greens, associated with the thymus.
O – associated with the solar plexus, in golden color;
deep O – orange color, associated with the sacrum, reproductive organs.
U – associated with the bottom of the abdomen, red.
Y – deepened U, energy centers located in the feet.
Vowels reinforced by appropriate sounds, frequencies, good intentions, transformed
into the power of good words make us healthy.
Teaching method
Olga Szwajgier's proprietary method, through which she expanded her vocal range from four to six octaves. Classes consist of lectures, vocal exercises (in groups and individually), and relaxation. The learning is based on the instrument that is the human being – on breath, speech, singing. It is knowledge about the connections with anatomy and energy centers. Working with the body and imagination.
